When designing a concrete mixture to achieve specific physical, mechanical, and durability properties, a wide range of solutions or mix proportions can meet the requirements and standards. However, some mix proportions of this range of solutions may be better than others in terms of properties, cost, environmental impact, overall performance, etc. Besides, extensive testing, trial mixtures, and experience are typically necessary to determine the optimum mixture of the accepted range of proportions. Then, a similar procedure is seasonally or periodically required to optimize and adjust the mixtures. Also, this is often necessary with any change in the quality or properties of constituent materials. However, with AdvaOpti-C, the range is narrowed and the optimum solution or proportions very close to the optimum can be theoretically determined, based on the available materials, thereby making it a great procedure not only for mix designing but also for analysis and optimization.

AdvaOpti-C aids to help, not only in periodic checking of the quality of a mixture, but also in enhancing the overall performance, reducing the environmental impact, improving the efficiency, and/or reducing the cost of optimizable mixtures.
In various projects, AdvaOpti-C helped in optimizing mixtures to get the best out of a combination of existing constituent materials, while meeting the required specifications, and saving remarkable amounts in costs.
This service is usually requested by companies which have their own R&D team and laboratories, but need additional theoretical checks and recommendations for their mixtures.
- In order to perform our analysis, we request some basic data, material properties, and laboratory test results, which our clients frequently perform in their own laboratories or which are obtained from their suppliers.
- Then, based on the given data and test results, we perform our advanced analysis.
- And we report back to our client simply our evaluation, recommendations, optimization parameters, and the expected benefits of this proposed optimization, if possible.
- If the mixture is theoretically optimizable, the client then performs the experimental trial mixtures based on our recommendations and tests their properties.
It depends, but mostly it does not. Since we usually collaborate with our clients’ R&D teams who have worked intensively to optimize their mixtures and perform periodic adjustments. Thereby, our recommendation usually causes minor changes to the mix proportions but with significant effects.
This service works on any type of cement-based composite and asphalt.
There is no standard recommendation on how often this analysis is required. In fact, it mainly depends on the consistency in the quality of materials. In addition, it also depends on your own depth of analysis and optimization. However most of our clients request this service periodically (2, 3, or 4 times annually) for their standard mixtures. And some request this service every time they receive new constituent materials or aggregates to make adjustments based on our recommendations.
What is unique about this service is that it is performed in collaboration between our team and the client’s R&D team. Hence, it does not require transferring the materials and testing in another facility which significantly increases the service cost. Instead, the client performs the laboratory tests in their own facility.
